Nicole McDermott has been practicing exclusively in criminal defence work since her call to the bar in 2022. After starting her career working at a firm in downtown Hamilton, she opened her own practice in 2024.
Nicole is a tenacious and fearless advocate who is dedicated to protecting the rights of her clients and ensuring that no stone is left unturned in preparing a defence. She is passionate about having individual Charter rights upheld and holding police accountable for their actions.
Nicole is experienced representing clients at all stages of their court proceedings in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice including bail, trial, and sentencing hearings for all types of criminal charges ranging from simple thefts and assaults, to firearms, drug trafficking, sexual assault, robbery and more. She specializes in the highly technical area of DUI/Impaired Operation offences.
